i couldnt wait until xmas so i went and bought a p250 today. i'll just have to convince my better half that i really wanted a 229 for xmas. it's a plain jane 9mm but it's a good starting point. i cleaned it up and headed for the range. i ran a box of blaser, a box of wwb and a box fiocchi 115gr fmj through it without a single burp. i wasnt real happy with my performance so me and the dao trigger have a lot of practice coming up. the next trip to the range i'll be taking self defense ammo and testing to see if there is any problems feeding hollow points and see if it likes +p stuff. does anybody have any sd ammo that they have found they cant feed or have any issues with?

Congrats on the purchase!!!! I have not had any problems with hollow points. But then again, I have only ran a magazine of Horanady through it. |

Sorry about the slow reply, but I was out of town.
I have put about 2700 rounds through one 9 mm P250 and about 1200 rounds through a second 9 mm P250.
No problems with any brand/type of ammo. In fact, trying different brands to see if the ammo would cause a problem became a nuisance.
I now use Winchester "white box" 115 grain FMJ or Remington UMC 115 grain FMJ target rounds for practice with Winchester 115 grain JHP or Cor Bon JHP for carry.

I found that mine does not like the Blaser Ammo. It doesn't like to extract the ALum case they use. Eats everything else up

My p250 hasn't had a problem with any ammo as of yet. I've shot a few boxes of WWB, Rem UMC, and some factory reloads from a small gunshop with no issues. I put a few Federal JHP's through it and it shot like a dream.

Interesting that others have said their 250s like the cor bon. Mine likes speer GDHP but has FTFs with the cor bon. Disappointing as I love cor bon for a carry round.
