OK, if you got a 40 and you want a 9, here ya go...
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=112143692BUT, now I'm confused...The way my dealer sold the 250 to me, and the way the "brochure" reads, all I thought I needed to change caliber within the same frame size was a new barrel, a new magazine, and possibly a new recoil spring (except the 45acp which is totally different). Why do I need a new slide to change calibers??? When they said "9mm conversion kit" I expected to see everything except the fire control unit... to be able to turn a 40 into possibly a subcompact 9mm, or something. But to turn a compact 40 into a compact 9mm, or vice-versa, I need a new SLIDE too? why?? The slide should be the exact same size for all calibers. There's nothing on my slide right now that indicates it's a "9mm slide", unless I missed it. How will I tell the 40 and 9mm (and 357sig) slides apart? You probably can't because they're probably all the same... Why should I spend $325 on a kit when I should be able to get a barrel for about $189, and a mag for $30....and maybe a new Steve Bedair guide rod for $40, but a factory rod should cost $15 tops. Now, I'm betting a 40 conversion kit will be even more expensive, so you're telling me I have to buy a slide I don't need for an extra $100+? That's 3 more magazines!
Somebody please tell me I'm wrong. Someone please tell me that the slides are caliber specific. I'll still feel cheated and duped, but at least I won't feel like I'm getting screwed buying a slide I don't need...
