Well, I had an extra small compact lower and it looked like a cool project to knock the dust cover back and fit it up. Tomorrow morning we'll see how she shoots. The sub-compact out of the box fired around 300 rounds without a hitch, but my pinky finger was looking for a place to be..... We will post a report on how this "hybrid" P250 runs.....Wink

I'm curious to see how it shoots-I cant find a sub compact that works for me because I cnat deal with the dangling pinky. I've written off the P250sc, the M&Pc and I just dont like the xd's. About the only one that woked was the PK380. Post a range report-if it works well then I may have another project on my hands.

Range Report on the "Pug" P250.....BigGrin

This pistol ran flawlessly with all the 9mm ammo I could scratch up. I fired about 600 + rounds through it over 2 sessions at the range this weekend. I do a lot of stronghand/weakhand practice with carry guns and I found this gun is very safe to transition back and forth with. I had no problems putting all shots into the "A" zone of an IPSC target stronghand at 15 yards, that's accurate enough for me. After a good detailed cleaning this gun is going with me as my new daily carry gun.ThumpUp

This is what I dont understand when everyone makes a CCW, They make the slide shorter and keep the grips the same. Why? shouldnt the slide stay the same and the grip be shorter? Like the XDm 3.8 to me thats a waste of a slide and frame. should have just made it a sub-compact and been done.

I know when I carry my weapon(s) the only thing that is printing thru my cloths is the grip of the gun. To me Glock made that right when they made the sub-compact guns. Small slide and and even smaller grip. I dont carry sub anything. For me its always been fullsize or compact. But to each is own if it works for you carry on. For me, Im still working on a carry melt.

Everyone is different, it seems that there is a tradeoff with every advantage gained. Some of us just cant shoot a handgun accurately with our pinky's dangling. That said if there would be a compromise made for me then it would have to be with the barrel/slide length. Inherently shorter barrels are less accurate, compound this with a compromised grip. I would much rather be able to shoot accurately and deal with the longer grip than god forbid to lob a round inaccurately with a completely concealable pistol. Most manufacturers make substantially smaller sub compacts, like the M&Pc's various glocks and the P250sc, thats why ideas like this keep coming up. Thats also why pinky extensions and longer mag/grip combos are popular. BTW another really nice CCW is the PPS.
