Yes, Nazi Jersey. It took me 1 month to get all my permits and fingerprinting done, but I was finally able to buy one of these fine firearms from Kentucky and have it shipped up. I absolutely love this gun. I've never shot anything like it before, not even similar. I was taken back by its simplicity in break down and sleek design. Went to the range and put 200 rounds through it. Its very consistent, very accurate, and very easy to handle as a 9mm. It is the first firearm I have purchased, despite having shot many, and I'm very happy I went with Sig.

Good to hear that you love the firearm. It is ridiculous what some of these states require for firearm purchases.

I'm very familiar with Sussex...I've traveled this whole state top to bottom when I used to do photography. Photographer to armed citizen...must be a SHOOTING thing. Anyhow, I'm in Mays Landing and Margate City usually..South Central to South

Ok, not too familiar with that area. Are there alot of places to do you gun shooting? I know NJ is a pain to get a gun and even worse to get a permit to carry.

Greetings from the Peoples Republic of California. Great choice for a first purchase. My compact 9mm runs like a train. Approx 1000 rds and no problems. I hope you continue to enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

There is one range that costs under $150 dollars to shoot. Everything else requires a membership, renewals, and firing fee for each use of the range...and they charge BY THE HOUR. These are facilities designed for law enforcement officers and ran by retired officers.

The facility I use is outdoors and you must be under range master supervision at all times. You must also take an NRA "First Shooters" course which ends up costing $65 dollars for the course and a $10 range fee for the day. Every time after that its $10 to shoot for the day and its only open to non-law enforcement on the weekends.

As far as carrying permit goes...not gonna happen unless your law enforcement or retired law enforcement. The only place I can legally carry a firearm is in my "castle". Good old Nazi Jersey, but hey, at least I was able to procure a firearm :)

Wow, Maybe you need to leave NJ. I thought in NJ you could get a permit to carry if your job maybe "hazardous". But than again...
