Hello all,

I was finally able to get to the range today to try out my P250 Compact .40 cal. I am mad at myself for not keeping my first target (it was used again during the session.) Out of thirteen rounds, three were out of the black. They were the first three as I adjusted to the DAO. After I listened the what the P250 was telling me, I was able to shoot as well as I was on my previous SP2340 in single action. That is important to me, because I owned that SP2340 for 5 years, and here I was shooting as well or better with a new (to me) P250. This is not a new gun, I purchased it used at a gun show.

I shot Speer Lawman (50) and Federal (100.) The P250 shot flawlessly. I'll admit that the entire time I shot the P250, I was thinking like I was shooting a revolver.(I was really wishing I could pull back the hammer for SA shot.) But the DAO trigger is so buttery smooth, I just had to take some time to learn the trigger. Every target was 11 or 12 center shots in a 2 or 3 inch group with 2 or three fly-aways. I hate that... It's like there has to be one or two rounds that just go where they want to...

I am very pleased with the p250. I know I'll need a few more sessions with it to really learn it, but my first session was impressive.

Again, the target was "reshot" but the shots were all within the black...

Great shooting! What distance was that?

Glad to hear it was POA and flawless too.

This was a "just getting to know the P250." It was no more than a 10 - 15 yard exercise on targets that fit on 8 1/2" x 11" home-printed targets.
