OK, On monday of last week I sent a pistol to Buds for trade that arrived on wednesday. They immediatly sent out my 250c which arrived at my gun shop on friday AM. (great job Buds!) Went and did the pprwrk ($25.) opened the box and found out that it had 1st gen med frame. I had already recieved a small 2od gen grip shell which I installed at the counter. 1st problem; Mag wouldn't fit in small frame. Solution? Bought a new 2od gen 20 rd mag (which only holds and is marked for 17 rds) Went into the range and loaded the mag (17 rd) and started shooting. After two mags the low watt bulb went off and sure enough, the 17 rnd 2od gen base plate changed places and went on the 15 rnd mag. Eureka!
2od problem; four different type loads, (HP @ FMJ) were all in a small group 3 inches high and 1 inch to the left.
I called Sig today and they told me that my front sight was the tallest they had. Bummer. Then the nice csr lady told me that she WOULD send me a smaller rear sight. I also asked for a 2od gen mag base plate and she said no problem. Got my address and ph nbr and wished me a nice day. Notice she did not ask for payment. Way to go Sig!!!
Third problem; I dont know how to install rear sight! (Weakest part of the 250 design as far as Im conserned) Lack of aftermarket sights suck.
I had heard or read somewhere that front sights from another sig pistol would work on 250 but I cant find that info. What I really want is plain black sights with the front serrated and thinner than factory issue.
If anyone knows about the front sight/other sig pistol or of a place where I can get an aftermarket front sight, it would be appriciated. I've already checked novaks and heinie. Q

I beleive the front site is a #6 or a #8. Im leaning towards #8. Novak should carry something like that. As far as the rear site not sure how to replace it. Just a wild guess, but I think that it grooved in there and held in place with with loctite. When you got you replcement rear site it didnt come with instructions? I doubt it. I remember reading or hearing about someone who replace the rear site, not sure where it read it or heard it. But Im sure that it wasnt here. If you have to call Sig again do so. Better to be safe than sorry. Or you can try to give Customized Creationz a call, He does some badass work on guns and Im sure hell help you out some. Thats the best I can tell you, Sorry.
