How many of you guys or gals enjoy hunting? I dont mean man hunting (altho it sounds exciting) but game hunting. Any kind of game hunting, big, small or whatever. Tell me what you hunt and what you hunt with.

I hunt deer for now. I havent had a chance to try anyother game hunting due to time. I havent gotten anything just yet because Ive only been hunting a few times. I hope to get something this year. I have a Ruger M77 Hawkeye chamberd in .270 win. Leupold MXII scope. Love that gun alot because it was a gift from my father-in-law when my wife and I got married. I have plans on teaching my son to hunt with it and when hes old enough (or mature enough) I plan on passing it down to him.

How about you, what do you hunt with?

I hunt when I can. I make sure to take off work and spend at least a week deer hunting. I use a Rem 760 in .270. Squirrel hunting comes in second (use .22LR).

Here is my last buck (8 point) from 2 years ago.

I grew up hunting deer (both muzzle load and rifle seasons). For rifle season, I have always used a Winchester lever action 30-30. My grandpa has since passed away and left me his bolt action Remington 7mm Mag. Both are great rifles. I haven't been hunting since he passed about 8 years ago due to college and military deployments, etc. However, I plan on purchasing some acreage in northeast Texas this coming spring.

I hunt dove with a Winchester model 12 that is older than I am and also quail and pheasant. I have been putting in for black powder elk and deer, but have not drawn yet. Mostly I hunt clay pigeons.

I hunt dove with a 12 ga. Winchester model 1400 that my Dad gave me, or sometimes a Remington 870 pump. Both guns are older than my 47 years and in great shape.
