hi im a new member to the forum and a new gun owner. i have shot guns many times before, my best friend owns 4 and im decently accurate. i decided on a p250 40 cal full size for my first because i liked the way it looked and felt in my hand and have always liked sigs. my first trip to the range with it it was shooting very low and to the left. after doing some research and reading on this forum i discovered it has been happening to many other, and that i had combat sights, which i never heard of before neither had my firend. so went back to the rang with 4 different ammo types. and shooting the combat sight way. and still low and to the left but far less. the shots are very close together which makes me believe its the sights, friend also suggested maybe it was sighted in for a longer distance the what i was shooting, called SIG and they said if i send it in and they find nothing wrong with it they will charge me. if anyone has suggestions on info that might help me out will be very appreciated. i attached a photo of a target.

Hee hee! That target looks just like some of mine when I started shooting my 250 (9mm compact). I thought for sure the sights must need adjustment. After about five hundred rounds of getting used to the loooong trigger, learning not to anticipate the shot (many times I've started to release the trigger before it fired) and watching the front sight all the way through the shot without blinking, I went from low and left, to just low, to pretty much on target. What's really interesting is that once I got out of the indoor range and started shooting IDPA matches, I got a lot more accurate with it. I don't know why.

For the shooting low you just have to get used to where your individual sights are aiming. If its still an issue it says right in the manual that there are I believe 3 different rear sights available ( don't have the manual in front of me) and 6 fronts to customize your sights for you. The fronts adjustable for left/right. Shmidie I am a firm believer in snapcaps for curing the problem with anticipating the trigger break. Throw on a laser and practice your trigger pull. When the trigger breaks it will show your follow up.

I feel your pain on this one. I bought the p250 2sum kit in .40cal last week and am experiencing the exact same problem. Groups are around 2-3" low @ 20ft.

I called Sig, and the gentleman in CS was not as polite as I had hoped (he must be getting sick of the same calls for the same problem w/ the p250). He said what many others have echoed on this site: "...we hear this all the time, if you send it to us, our gunsmith will probably shoot the bullseye with it and you'll have to pay for shipping".

I am fairly sure that it is not my shooting at this point. I have shot at bench rest, after considerable dry practice, with tight groups, using the "combat hold" sight picture with the entire front sight covering the bullseye. In addition, I don't have this problem with my Sig SP2022, which I have put 1000's of rounds through and used in extensive training classes.

I am really considering getting different sights for both of the p250s in the 2sum kit (full size and subcompact) to fix the problem. If I end up going that route, I'll let you know how it goes.

Not saying it's you, but are you left-handed? I'm right handed, and when I got my P250sc, I was shooting low and to the right. After some range time, I got used to the long trigger and now I'm on target. Not saying that's the case, but just throwing that out there. I found the best way to get used to the P250 is to buy and shoot a Ruger LCP. After that, the sig trigger will be a DREAMLOL

I had the same problem, accutuly worst. It is NOT the gun believe me. You need to stop anticipating the shot and jerking the gun. For me it was kinda hard because I could see the hammer coming back so I started concentrating on the target and sights more, kinda difficult when the hammer is right in front of your face. I am getting better but I do still jerk it a couple or a few time in a session. I know everybody is different, and i am no expert but this really helped me.
