Got the chance to run 100 rounds through my p250 this week. I shot 50 rounds of 185 grain winchester FMJs, 230 magtech FMJs, and 10 magtech solid copper 165 grain HPs. I consistently had a failure to feed on the second round, and second round only, when the mag was loaded with the winchester. Might be the ammo, might be just "breaking in" the pistol. Here are some initial impressions:
RECOIL - WOW!!! The softest shooting 45 I've shot. I think it's a combination of weight, especially in the fullsize model, and the perfect grip.
ACCURACY - Very good. I think this may be up there with the best of them. But, I think most, good quality, modern pistols, such as M&Ps, XDs, etc., as having good accuracy.
ERGOs & CONTROLS - This is really what made me buy this weapon in the first place. It just feels perfect in my hand, and all controls are perfectly placed. Slide release is easy to operate but won't be engaged accidentally. Mag release is also easy to manipulate due to perfect placement and feel - for some reason I really like the triangular shape of it. I can point and shoot more accurately than I thought possible. The trigger will definately take some practice.
RELIABILITY - I'm holding off in this area. I think it will be completely reliable after 500 rounds or so. As stated, all my failures to feed were with one specific ammo and always the second round of the mag. I'll update here once I get to 500 rounds, which may take a while with the cost of shooting these days.
TAKE DOWN & CLEANING - Take down is a breeze and cleaning could not be easier with the removable assembly.
Overall, right now I'm loving this gun.
