Bought a Sig P250 compact 9mm (old frame design), marked 27 APR 2009 on the case, went to the range tonight with 190 rounds of Blazer fmj 115 Gr and i had 4 jams at the range. If i had to go out on the limb here, id say it was one jam per box of ammo.
Each jam was the same type of jam, as the round was ejecting, it would always get caught in the upper right ejection port between the top of the barrel and the top right back of the slide slightly above the extractor claw with the primer of the shells always toward the front sight. The gun FTF due too the jamming each time. The gun would only kick shells back at me every once in awhile, but did that almost every time after the third jam.
The spent shells from gun were not thrown more then a foot and a half from the gun.
I dont know what to do, other then send it back to Sig, I'm going to take it back to the shop, before calling Sig and see if they might be able to tell me if I'm doing something wrong far as lubrication goes. The manual with my pistol, doesn't really go into detail as far as where to lubricate like other manuals so i lubricated the pistol like you would a Glock and S&W M&P, i put a thin coat of CLP on the bottom of the hammer ramp on the slide too.
Is there something I'm doing wrong or does this pistol need to go back to Sig?.
I know pistols can jam during the break in process, but it shouldn't jam like this. Other then that, I'm happy with the trigger on the pistol and the accuracy, the only thing keeping this from being one of the best pistol I've owned, is the jamming.
