I have a P250 Compact (9mm) which is ALMOST a perfect fit for my hand. The grip is marked C L, which indicates large size grip for the compact frame. I have long fingers, and I would like to have just a little more distance between the backstrap and the trigger -- maybe 1/4" or 3/8".

Does anyone know of a good slip-on overgrip that will do the job?

Most decent overgrips approach the price of a replacement grip module ($45 direct from Sig). If it were me, I'd just order a large grip module...If it doesn't work, I'd bet you could sell it here to someone else.

My 2 Cents...

I had already looked at that. The large grip offers a longer overall length and a larger magazine, but the backstrap-to-trigger distance remains the same as on the compact. That does not solve my problem. SIG offers a short trigger, which decreases this distance. I need just the opposite.

I had heard that the Hogue model 17000 would work, but every source that I have looked at lists many SIG pistols for the Hogue 17000, but none mention the P250.

Well Packmayr and Houge offer slip on grips that are "universal", Ive ordered some from both and actually had to put them one a few guns upside down to get a good fit. Hell at $9 for the grips theres not too much to lose. Id take a chance and just try. Order a pair the fits a Glock 19 or something simillar to your gun. Who knows it might fit perfectly.

Here is/was my grip project.

I used the tactical grip glove for the glock 17 and cut it down to size.

Art,

Is your sub a small or medium grip? I have the sub small and I think I could use a little extra girth (in the handle, I already have too much girth).

I wrote Pachmyr about their making a Tactical Grip Glove for the P250. This is their reply:

We do not have any firm plans to do so right now, but the Sig line is under review for possible additions. We will pass the request on to our marketing department for their consideration.

Perhaps we should all let them know if we want a custom fit grip sleeve for the P250...

The Hogue HandAll fits the 250 pretty well. On the small size frame module there is a little slack, but not enough to be a problem and it's a little long. I have tried and cannot make it interfere with inserting a mag, but I'm still going to take an x-acto knife to it and trim it to be even with the bottom of the grip, including the notches on the side of the grip for the mag.

My SC is a small grip, the rubber isn't bad but it could be better. I might just suck it up and get the medium grip frame.

I picked up the HandAll today. Mine is the compact frame with the medium grip. definitely need to break out the x-acto... just like rably says, for the side notches and for the back. would like them to make something specifically for the 250, but this does get the job done.

Here is my .45C with a Pachmyr grip sleeve for the P226. I think is a perfect fit and really feels good in the hand.

Just to follow up on this - I actually took the HandAll back off. It felt great for shooting but for concealed carry, it added quite a bit of width to the grip. For some reason, they put a dome-like shape in the middle of each side that was about 1/8" thick (maybe what you need SigerHappy?). Maybe it was my imagination but it kept feeling the grip rubbing my arm, making me think I was printing too badly. I may try the Pachmyr hud35500 shows.

The Handall has what they call "palmswells" on each side. They do fill the gap in your palm, but also add to the grip width. The Pachmyrs don't do that.

Rably, you may be right, was this on a Sub Compact frame?

No, it was on a compact frame, small grip size. There was a little slack at the back of the grip, but not enough to be irritating. It was those "palm swells" that hud35500 mentioned (thanks - couldn't think what they were called) that was the only problem for me.
