Did a polish job on mine this morning. 9mm and 40 barrels, slide release, and take-down lever. No use in posting pics, as there are already so many on here already.
After putting everything back together, I am thinking about polishing the other end of the take-down lever, so that there's a polished part on the opposite side of the frame. Almost did the trigger, but am going to go with what I have for now while I think about that. May also get around to the hammer when I get to the point of cleaning the gun to that extent.
A question for those that have done this so far.... with regard to the back end of the barrel, on the bottom, below the port and in front of the ramp... some people polish that and some don't. Is there a concern for that impeding the intended mechanics of the firing of the gun? If not, will the finish being removed from there prompt premature wear? So... I suppose I'm asking the pros and cons of polishing that area.
edit: I'd polish the mag release if I could manage to figure out how to break-down that part. lol!
