Was at the gun show in PA here yesterday. Following info to report:

1. Saw the P250 2 Sum package up close. Consists of one FCU, one full size slide and grip in 9mm and one subcompact slide and grip in 9mm. Dealer was asking $750. Of note is that both the large and the subcompact grip modules were the new style as detailed in other posts. Serial number on the FCU started with EAK. Both slides had the flat top barrel.

2. Went around most every booth selling pistols and found that dealers were asking anywhere from $459-$670 for P250 Compacts. Almost all of them had serial numbers starting with EAU.

3. Did not see any dealer that had Subcompact for sale or full size in any caliber. Everything was compact in 9mm or .40 S&W.

Later,

What is the significance of serial numbers beginning with the EAU? Mine has the number starting with AEU0025xx. so I guess it's an early one. BTW, the price differences you saw are pretty extreme. How can the higher prices compete with the ones at the lower ones especially under the same roof at a gun show?

They can't compete. There are mobs of pissed off dealers due to Sig dropping the price. As well as the purchasers that lost value overnight.

My dealer has two that he bought before the price drop. He might as well keep them for himself unless he wants to lose money.

Don't know real significance of serial number but I report what I see. Talking out my rear, I believe that EAK is a more recent run but I could well be wrong.

Here's one thing to think about though:

You might have an EAK fire control unit (FCU) but your slide/barrel/extractor and stuff might have been sitting in a parts bin for two years. No way to know the facts of that I'm aware of other than some barrels have a sloped top and some have a flat top. All the EAK serial P250s I was seeing had flat top barrel. Again, whatever that means.

As far as prices, what Dosborm81 said. Plus you know it's a pretty big building and I'm sure some dealers count on buyer ignorance or laziness.

Me, when I go to a show I write a list of what I'm looking for ahead of time. I scout every aisle and booth and write down the dealer and price. Takes me an hour or two but when I'm ready to buy I go right to the guy with the best price. Sometimes you lose though and they sell out of something before you get back around to them.

Case in point I was getting a bunch of flat dark earth PMAGs for the AR. By the time I came around to get them they were all gone and were talking some big bins of them. :-( Oh well black is nice too and at $12.95 per mag I'm not complaining.

I guess I one of the agry early purchasers. I paid $600.00 including tax and fees, out the door. Bu mine has the Nitron finish and night sites so mabe it's not TOO bad... Anyway, my number is the EAU as stated above and it does not have that sloped top. It's flat.

That's a kick in the nuts to both the consumer and the dealer. I wanted a hammer fired weapon to carry. I didn't see the change on the horizon...would have waited.

I picked up the 2SUM outfit in 9MM for $750 at a local gun show. My FCU has a EAK serial no. Also included was a coupon from SIG to purchase 2 extra mags and the tac-light/laser attachment for $150 total.

No complaints so far except I wish I could find a IWB holster for the subcompact.

Look at Crossbreed. If they don't show one on their website, call them.

I asked them, no plans in the immediate future for the subcompact. I asked FIST and they said they just got the molds, so I ordered an IWB kydex K1 from them. I should receive it by mid-Feb and I post my review after wearing it for awhile.

The crossbreed supertuck is a slider so it should work for the subcompact as well as the cp and full size

This may not help, BUT, I have a MTAC for my Sig SP 2022 and my 250 Compact 9mmm fits in it perfectly, so the sub may fit in it as well.

I'm glad you are enjoying the new holster. I am trying to find a SOB model. Unfortunately there are not many companies making holsters for the P250 yet. I am also considering buying a smaller pistol for CC.
