still not sure i understand this, plz correct me if i'm wrong - the same size slide and grip can be used for 9mm, .40, and .357Sig? all i have to switch on my P250 9mm compact is the Barrell and gets some .40 cal mags and i can run .357?

am i on the right track here?

it's late here and mine is in the headboard so waking up the wife isnt an option to confirm all things but here goes. the grip modules are interchangeable as is the FCU. the recoil spring is different between the 9mm and the .40/.357( mine are) and i think the barrels are a little thicker on the .40/.357 so it means a different slide. i'm not sure if the sights are the same on all slides or if the 9mm is a different height/size than the .40/357. if i get a chance later today i'll compare my barrels, slides and sights and get back too you. i sure wish sig would bring out the .357 stuff, it seems like i've been waiting forever to try it in .357.

well, that sux, there goes that idea. i know most older 9's were not built beefy enough to convert UP. 40's are normally just a barell. i was thinking (hoping) maybe Sig did something really smart and built even the smaller cal's with enough heft so that you could go 9 - 357 w/ just a barell. i realize it might mean that the barell has to be thicker walled, in the smaller cal's, if the slide is expected to be one size fits all. but it just seems like it would be managable (45 exlcuded) and quite a selling point for the weapon pitched as being so modular/convertable.

i'm not about to buy a slide and barell Sad i'd be more apt to buy a complete pistol in 357, when available, and give the 9 to my wife Cool

You are correct, the same grip modules work for the 9/357sig/40. You simply change the slide/barrel assembly and magazine for that particular caliber.

The 45acp grip is larger than the 9/357/40 due to the mags.
