Sig does make P250's in Germany, but it was my understanding, and I am probably wrong, that they were not sold in the US. The ones being sold in the US are made here in the US. Like I said, I could be mistaken.

I was told the P250 is made in New Hampshire. Just found this on their web site.

"Headquartered in Exeter, New Hampshire, SIG SAUER is an ISO 9001 certified company with over 280 employees. It is the largest member of a worldwide business group of firearms manufacturers that includes J.P. Sauer & Sohn and Blaser, Gmbh. in Germany and Swiss Arms AG in Switzerland."

My impression is that the initial design work was done in germany but it was only done in the 9mm cal. This seems to make for a smaller pistol. (check out the more conventional 'SIG' type slide pictured on this masthead v. 250s sold here) what is sold here is an enlarged american .40 pistol that is cramed full of 9mm, v. the glock .40s which are .40s cramed into a 9mm platform. This seems to make sense as europe is generally restricted to 9mm.
