had to repost this in a new thread. i noticed what looks like to be some pitting of some sort while cleaning my pistol i was wondering if anyone has seen anything similar, excuse the pictures i was having a hard time getting them into focus.







it cant be the cleaning products, i've been using hoppe's #9 and kleenbore. any ideas?

Its hard to tell in the pictures, but when you run your fingers across them, does it feel like the metal is gone in those areas? I have no idea what could cause this, but some fine grit sandpaper would probably smooth it out some. I would bring it to Sig's attention before doing that, however. Anyone else have any ideas?

Yeah my frame has that too. It just appears to be an artifact of the manufacturing process and has not been shown to be a problem in the structural integrity of the firearm.

that mark is from the stamping process, nothing to worry about.
