And here's a P250 full-size slide on a compact frame - no mod at all...

Just slide the compact slide off the compact frame and slide the full-size slide on. The dust cover on the slide is long enough to overlap the compact frame:

Gotta say, I like that look SO much better than with the full size frame!

I'm a full-size - full-size myself, but the fs on the compact does look pretty good doesn't it. "Everything changes"

Although, I could become a compact slider on a fs frame if all goes well when I shoot it.

I thought of that combination but didn't want to give it a go at the range...
Thanks again and post after test firing it.!

I meant to do that and realized when I got to the range I had forgotten the fs slide.

Although I could be surprised, I don't envsion any problems with it, they both run on the same FCU. But I will test it and post - maybe Wednesday.

Can you put a full size 45 slide on a 45 compact grip and use the same magazine?

That looks really cool.

Has anyone taken the .45ACP compacted and try putting it on the subcompact gripped?

It would make it a little nicer for carrying in the pocket and a little easier to hide.

Yes, and I posted some photos in a thread somewhere here a few months ago.

http://www.p250sig.com/f...t-to-a-sub-compact.aspx

There will be a small gap at the bottom of the dust shield with the SC grip on the C slide. While it is mostly cosmetic and very small, I built up the muzzle end of the grip with some JB Weld to close up the gap, and then colored it black to match the rest of the grip.

I have also cut down and shaped a Compact grip to subcompact size if you need a bit more meat to hold onto. This does require a lot of cutting and shaping, particularly on the inside of the magazine well, so that the SC mags will fit in the modified C grip.

Due to the fact that my apelike fingers don't really fit the trigger, I also built up the leading edge a bit to allow for more "reach" for my trigger finger, and this has eliminated the "scrunching" at letoff.

The problem is that until SIG gets the SC mags out to the field, you will be stuck with the mag extending past the end of the grip.

That looks great. The photos look so good. Has anyone tried to attach a compact or sub compact slide on a full size frame? I hate to give up capacity but would like the shorter top end.

Got to agree, it looks mean and purposeful, like something the Special forces would use. Would look even better with a threaded barrel.

I put a compact 357 Sig slide on a subcompact frame and it works great. There is only a 1/2 inch difference in length between the compact and sub. Shot great!
