OK, slightly embarrased to show my greeness, but before I put too many rounds thru my P250c 9mm (1st gun I've owned), how do I best care, general cleaning, and specifically lube. I know this is a lot to ask here, but does anyone suggest any resources specific to the 250 or other general references.
Thanks

there's lots of choices on how and what to clean with so trying a little of each you'll find what works for you. i usually clean with CLP, it's a cleaner/solvent and lubricant. if i start to see any copper fouling i soak my barrel overnite in hoppes #9 and then the stuff comes out pretty easy. there are good copper solvents out there that will probably work quicker. i use tw25 to grease the slide but i may try slide glide next summer during the hot months and see how that goes. i am a clean freak so i clean after each range trip so i dont let any significant buildup get started. i dont know if it helps any because of the coating on the slide but i wipe it down with a silicon cloth just before i put it away. thats probably just my old habit from growing up with blued barrels.
