I understand from my Sig dealer that the Frames and Slides have come down in price. Any else hear this?

I have been looking at the 9mm in the compact version (to start) of the P250 and like the idea of changing out whole gun for another size and caliber..

I guess it's kind of like "a tree falling in the woods"...
If Sig reduces the price of something that's not available, have they really reduced the price??

As far as I know you still can't buy the conversion kits, or even the barrels. Sig isn't making them available until they have shipped all calibers as complete gun packages. Right now 9mm Compact and 40 Compact are available. 357 Sig compact is imminent. 45 ACP is on the horizon...
Once they get the ompact line complete, they'll need to work through the Sub-compact line and probably the full size line before they start releasing conversion kits. So at this pace you'll be able to convert a 9mm compact into a 40 sometime in 2025...

The MSRP for the upgrade kits range from $529 to $556 depending on the caliber.
There is no release date for the .357SIG and the .45ACP but we are hoping to have them out in late fall.
We hope to have the Sub Compact and the Full size models out around the end of this year/early
next year.
The conversion kits will become available as the calibers become available.

dang, thats kinda expensive. i saw a 9mm kit on gunbrokers considerably cheaper. if that $500 and up per kit is the norm then i'm going to rethink ever buying a p250.

Yah, it might just be easer to by a full gun instead of the Kit. I have the 9mm but think next year when the subcompact comes out maybe just buying the hole thing.
IF they ever get this stuff out for sale.

since the 40s&w are on the streets now and it isnt showing available on the sig site my best guess would be call sig direct. another idea might be find someone selling one of the 40's on gunbroker(since they have access to the latest) and see if they can get you one or steer you to the right person inside sig to find one. good luck, lets us know if you can find one. i'm real curious what can be had behind closed doors. the perfect combo for me will be the 9mm in a sub compact, a 40 in a compact and a full frame 45. when all those are available then i'll open up my wallet and get it done.

+1. I got my small grip for mine simply by calling Sig customer service, well before my local guy had one on display. Always worth a phone call to get the word from the horse's mouth rather than internet rumors. Good thoughts on your combinations although I think I'd skip the 40 for a 357 Sig. Never been a fan of 40.
