Hi Guys, last week I shot my P250 9mm during a full day training as part of my CCW class. It was a lot of fun and I did better on the test than I expected: 142/150.

My only complaint was that my Sig malfunctioned too many times, but the instructor pointed-out that it may have been due to not having a stronger grip on the firearm. I got that corrected by the time I took the test.

However, the other issue I experienced was that during reloads I had to use 16 rounds in the magazine instead of 17 to prevent the gun from malfunctioning on the second round, right after the chamber round was fired.

Any thoughts?

Other than that, I had a great 7 hours of shooting; I love my P250.

Thank you for your time

Glad to hear you did well on your test, sorry to hear you had ANY issues with your weapon. If the advice from the instrustor helped / cured your cycling issue thats good that he picked up on that. The Mag issue sounds odd though. I've been lucky and haven't had any trouble with mine so I'm afraid I can't offer any insight but if any of the folks here have had the same they'll sure let you know.

I have heard of some other Sigs having the same issue for the first 300 rounds or so and then it worked itself out (regarding the magazine issue). I would load your mags with 16 rounds only for the next 300-500 rounds, and then try it with 17 and see how it does. If you continue to have problems, contact Sig customer service.

How many mags do you have? If you have more than one did it do it with all? Have you been able to try someone elses mags that have some use/ wear to them to see if that may be where the issue is?!

I have two mags, and yes it did occur with both. I have not tried any used mags, but you may be right, time could smooth them-out.

Thanks!

I thought that the P250 mags held 16 rounds.

Am I wrong?
