I did not get much of a response on SIG FORUM. Anyone have experience with both old and new and if so, how would you rate them? Am I missing something by not switching to the new grips or am I just as well off with the original. I have the medium and the slim grips and I have two mags.
Also, why did SIG switch the design. Was it a money motive on cost of manufacture or are they just plain BETER?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If the current grip that you own feels good to you, stick with it. If you need more mags and can't find the old ones, simply contact sig and request some of the old style base plates (that is all that you have to swap out to make them work). They may charge you a couple of bucks for each base plate though. I don't think it is worth the extra money to swap hand grips.

Thanks for the advise. I'll keep them. I like them but you know how itis with the grass being greener
So if I ever want a new sub compact kit, I guess the new grips will come with the kit....

Good advise - I'll give them a call.
I have the old grip (didn't know it) and bought new grip mags.
I just ground them down and they work fine.
But I'd rather have the old bottoms.
