Guys, is there any type of ammunition that I should keep away from the P250, in terms of any damage that may occur to the firearm?

Thank you for your time!

My P250c and fs in 40 hates remington umc-its dirtier than a toothless crack whore and the double crown causes feed problems-If you have a 9mm or 45 then maybe someone else may chime in. I have seen others with the 40 use the umc reliably-it just doesnt work in my guns for some reason.

Thanks Lockon, I do have a 9mm. I'll keep my eyes open for more replies.

Ireally havent tried a number of different rounds, WWB is what I really use the most aside from HPs. I never really had a problem with them. I had a Sig P220 that I shot whatever I was able to find in it. From Federal to Wolf I shot it all never had a problem.

Guess what I would do if I were you would be to try different loads and see what works best for you.
Not only brand, but try different grains too, if you can. I prefer a 115gr over a 147gr. But it just depends what feels good to you.

Sorry I cant tell you any to stay away from as I haven't used any that it didn't eat with gusto. I've shot CCI Blazers, Cor-bon, Winchester, American Eagle & Lawman. Its worked without a hiccup.

I've had some croation ammo called Privi or something like that give me an issue or two with hard primers. I don't want to say it was a light primer strike because there was a very nice indentation iin the primer when I checked it and it fired on the next trigger pull. I haven't had any other problems with any other round.

The only reason I got that ammo also was because it was really realy hard to secure ammo and I took what I could get a hold of.

My P250 .40 cal ate both Federal and Lawman flawlessly.

Interesting. I have a p250c in 9mm. I never shoot remington umc but was recently given a 250 round box. I just returned from the range where I shot 100 rounds with no problems. I was thinking I might have to buy some. I did not notice that it was any dirtier than WWB.

Correction....

The brad that gave me light primer strikes was the brand MFS not Privi something that I stated. I also want to note that it was two rounds out of about 150-200. They both fired on the second strike just fine though.

i have the 40 cal and have shot like 4-5 different types of ammo including remington UMC which worked with no problems but the UMC JHP had two jams out of like 80 rounds fired. so ill be staying away. WWB worked with no failures with about 250-300 rounds.
