I guess I'll go along with tradition and make my first post in here. I picked up a full size 9mm Nitron last week on an impulse buy, got sucked in my the advertised features before I knew that the caliber exchange kits were all backordered and nearly as much as the gun. But I like the fit of the thing and have wanted a Sig for quite a while, so that's ok.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, but that's never stopped me before (I don't know what to do with any of my .45 SA revolvers, that didn't stop me from picking up a new Colt SAA recently). Haven't made it to the range yet, since I haven't owned a 9mm in a while I don't have a stockpile of the stuff sitting around.

I'm married w/children, a software engineer, 40-something (it changes every year or so), started shooting a Frontier Scout and a Remington pump .22 when I was 7, born and raised in Colorado...

I can't think of anything else interesting.

Wow, the guys over at sigforum don't have a lot of respect for the P250, do they? Of course, they don't seem to have a lot of respect for Sig in general over there, which seems rather counter-intuitive (apparently I've been a member since March of '09 with zero posts, maybe because they dis their chosen manufacturer more than most)

Thanks for the welcomes

Long time no update, but I finally got up to the mountains (been a busy Spring), pumped a few hundred rounds of assorted brand hardball through mine. Not a single hiccup. Nothing. It performed flawlessly, but I really didn't expect anything less. I need to get a couple hundred more through there and also test it with a good defensive round before I can carry without concern, but honestly the greatest worry I have about carry is that it's a 9mm on a giant frame where I've carried a 1911 for a decade or so that isn't as bulky so I'm not really gaining anything.
The point though -
A) flawless function out of the box is not to be despised
2) It's a fun gun to shoot that has somehow managed to smooth out the sharp recoil I found so disagreeable with my old Ruger P89 (the previous and only other 9x19 I've owned)
III) As I wasn't shooting at fixed ranges I can only guess at accuracy, but it seemed to do pretty good after I got settled down.

My earmuffs broke fairly early and it isn't nearly as loud as I expected.

I'm quite pleased with this one, I hope it continues to meet or exceed my expectations. Hungry little beggar, though. Gobbles up ammo like crazy...
