What ammo does everyone take to the range? Any certain type or preference? I know for my Springfield XD I put around 200 rds through it with Luger 9mm. Is this a safe brand or should I look else where? Flapper

Winchester white box (WWB) for a fmj paractice/ fun. But dont forget to shoot your carry ammo to make sure it functions properly in the gun you carry. I carry Speer Gold Dot and Hornady Critical Defense. Not to thrilled with the Hornady but Speer is tops. I use to carry Magtech Guardian Gold. Cheap but never had a problem with any of the guns I have and haved owned.

At the range, I shoot Winchester White Box, Federal Champion, Remington UMC and Federal American Eagle. No FTF, FTE or any other problems in over 1,000 rounds. I also have a Springfield Armory XDm which, until last weekend, had a perfect record until I put some Monarch thru it. I had light primer strikes and failure to feed in each of 2 magazines before I stopped. Will not put that stuff in my p250. My SD roounds are Speer Gold Dots.

I can't tell because the face at the end threw me for a loop. Are you being sarcastic? Luger 9mm is the type of ammunition used in the weapon, not the brand of ammunition.

If I'm not shooting my reloads I look for Winchester White box when I can find it. I shoot it in all my handguns and never had a problem. It's cheap and does the job. I've also tried American Eagle which is pretty good. My prefer my reloads since I can custon taylor them. And it costs about half as much as WW. ThumpUp

Ive shot MAGTECH FMJ before, never had a problem out of them. Thier range clean ammo is pretty nice too. If you have a gun that can handle it, the +P+'s are LOTS of fun. I was getting, no joke, 2 foot WHITE flames out of the barrel. I wish I had some pics of it. My friends were scared when I was shooting it!!! It was a blast, litterally. Glad the Beretta was able to withstand it.

At the range, I use WWB like many others. Carry/self-defense ammo is Winchester Ranger +P+. I can completely attest to the P250's ability to handle this ammo. I run a hot round for every round of WWB at the range from time to time to remind myself that there definitely IS a different feel between the two. Although, w/ the P250 full size frame, the difference in felt recoil is minimal.

I use Remington 115 gr FMJ and have no problems. I have a local gun shop, that sales them for $ 10.95 a box / 50 rounds.

The last time I went I bought a box of 50 Independence rounds b/c it was what the range had in 9mm luger. I also brought a box of Wolf Russian ammo.....not sure I'd do that again. Kicked a bit, one case jammed, just wasn't a smooth shot overall. I hope the Wolf rifle rounds for my Mosin work better.

WWB, about 800 rds so far, not a single problem. Well, there was one, failure to feed, maybe I limp-wristed.
