I've put over 500 rounds of 9mm Remington UMC 115gr FMJ through my P250 so far and I've noticed that it shoots about 4" low from from the 7yd. line, and signifigantly lower the farther back I move from the target. At first I thought it was just me anticipating the recoil since I'm relatively new to pistol shooting. But then I had a couple of buddies at the range try it (Both LEOs with 1000's of rounds a year through various Sigs), and they too reported about 4" lower than POA from the 7yd line. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Because I know someone will ask:
Yes, I realize it is a combat sight and the target should be covered by the dot. That is how I shoot.
My front sight is marked with a 6, the rear sight has no markings so I assume it's the standard #8.

I have not noticed this at all. There are a few targets under P250 Shooting that people have posted. Everyones looks to be normal, none consistently low.

MLC: You've listed Remington UMC 115gr FMJ as one of the most accurate.

Two other qustions while I'm on the subject:
Do you guys think this is something Sig CS would fix?
Do they test fire these weapons for accuracy(not just fit and function) before they leave the factory?

Never shot low with mine. I was however in the early stages yanking down on the trigger because I was getting used to the long pull. I didn't notice it, but by range master standing to the side saw it and said I needed to correct it which I did after countless hours of dry firing and a few hundred rounds.

yep, i actually had the tightest group and was hitting the paper the highest of all what i considered practice ammo. that will probably end up being my favored practice ammo. i guess each pistol liking a peticular kind of ammo over others is true.

i wished i knew the answer to your other questions but i dont.

Thanks. I definately appreciate the help.
I've been reading up on sigforum.com about accuracy issues with other Sig models and how Sig CS has dealt with them. Based on the consensus I've gotten, I guess I'm going to have to shoot it from a rest/sandbag with a bunch of different ammo and see what I get for results. I'm really not crazy about sending my p250 back to Sig, just so they can say that accuracy is not guarantied or covered under warranty. :(

My P250 has shot low since it was new. I have put about 800 to 1000 rds thru it. I mostly shoot at about 25ft. And have about a 4 drop. I have compensated by aiming high but would like to get it fixed if possible. Other than that i love the gun. But dont really want to send it to sig. Are the sights adjustable? Or has anyone installed anything different?

HM here's my understanding of the low POI for most of us. the p250 has combat sights which means you will be covering up your target with the front sight. i had never used combat sights before so it is a big change to get used too for me. i considered sending it in to sig to get a higher rear sight or a lower front site to change it to something i'm more used too. i haven't yet because of financial reasons just yet but plan to in the future. i've seen a few pictures out there that kind of explain the POA/POI differences between combat sights and target sights(which i'm more familiar with) but a quick google search didn't turn up anything. i wish i could help more but for now i just aim a little higher which means completely covering up my target with the sights.

I haven't noticed an issue with accuracy at all, both my p250s are very accurate. for a while I was pulling my shots to the right, I think I'm just finally used to the gun and I'm nailing shots where I want them now.

I spoke with Scott at Sig CS last Thursday. He emailed me a pre-paid return shipping label and I sent the weapon out the next day. Sig received the weapon Monday, adjusted the sights, test fired, and ship it back to me on Wednesday. I received it back Thursday, with a note form the armorer and the final test target. From start to finish, door to door, under a week! Needless to say, I’m wicked impressed. Sig CS definitely didn’t live up to the reputation they’ve seemed to developed as of late.
I can’t wait to take it out to the range this weekend. Now, I just need to find large quantities of affordable 9mm to feed my signess.

LOL!! I grow rocks in my yard. Can you guys wiggle the rear sight at all. If I use a small ammount of force it will move left to right 1/16" inch. I assumed it would be totaly rigid. It doesn't seem loose to the point that it rattles though. I actually have the .45 but that shouldn't make a difference.

After receiving it back from SIG did your issue seem resolved? I'm experiencing the same drop issue.

I would love to hear if the issue was resolved. I just got my sig last week and in my only range excursion, I shot everything low left at just 7 yards. I just put it down to my inexperience with the DAO trigger. Since then, I have done a lot of practicing at home with snap caps. So I will try again this weekend.

I had an awful time with my Walther P1... I was shooting way low and left- sometimes clean off the target. It turns out I was anticipating the firing point as I pulled the trigger and was jerking the gun low in anticipation. Most of the problem went away when I changed my grip and focused on the front sight rather than the trigger position. Practice is the key. My P250 is much more accurate but I have caught myself anticipating the firing a couple of times...
FWIW...

The combat sights is what got me. I never had a handgun with combat sights before. That's why I was shooting a little low.

Confused

Im new here so hello and also new to Sig and just picked up the P250, I have the same problem at 10 yds I shoot so low its off an 8" plate target , I am familiar with combat sights and also dont have a DA trigger problem (one of my fav guns is my .357 revolver) it's definatley the gun . I called Sig this morning and you can get a new front sight that can raise your rounds but not by much.
The p250 is sent out with a #6 front sight you need to raise that number to raise the bullet but there are 2 problems , 1. they only got to #9 and each number raises or lowers 1\2" at 25ft (I could have this number wrong somone correct me if so please)
2. its $45 friggin dollars with a $15 shipping charge are you kidding me ???

I'm really not sure what I'm gonna do here , I may take it back and get what I went to get in the first place a Glock 19 or 17 only $22 for adjustable sights if I have a problem and need them but I doubt they would have that problem.
or I might put a low profile laser on it and for get the sights but that's hokey , anyone got any ideas i'm listening
thanks.

I thought I had the same problem as you, but as I put more rounds thru it and mastered trigger control with this gun, seems to be hitting where I aim. If your not comfortable with the gun and your still thinking about getting the Glocks, go for it.
Are you going to be using the Sig as a carry gun or just a play around gun?
If you are going to use it as a carry gun just work out the "newness" in the gun and you wont be dissapointed.
If your not confident with it then trade it in for the Glock.

HI, thanks for the responce.
I put 150 more rds thru the p250 and its the same issue, if it is me and this trigger is that much different then this gun
wasn't for me , if it was my only firearm I'm sure I'd deal with it but again my .357 I use double action and don't have a problem at all .
I bought this p250 used and it looked as if it had been barley fired I now probably know why .
this was going to be my home defence and CC gun, I took it back and got a Glock took it to the range and didn't have an issue . I'm not knocking Sig at all I know the reputation but this particular gun did not make a good first impression.
thanks again
