Ok so my P-250 is an earlier run s/n EAU in the 5 thousand area.
I have had zero problems with this gun so far but I have to admit I get a bit leary of really putting full faith in it due to reported problems with springs and so on.
My question to you who have the know, is what are the differences in the internals on the new production run as oppossed to the older ones?
Should I replace any springs or parts just as a preventative or for a better quality?
The trigger bar spring seems to have been an issue, would you suggest I replace it?
Any other parts?
Thanks guys, I really like this gun, I would love to know its going to work every time I need it too.

This is one spring you will probably have to replace.

It is also a good idea to change the reciol spring every 3000-4000 rounds. Sig's warranty should cover any problems. If not, I think Brownells sells parts for the 250.

OK thanks. Like I said I have had no issues as of yet but I don't want to have any either.
Love the gun and the ergonomics of it, It's the original style frame.

UPDATE:

I couldn't find S**t at Brownells for the P250 other than mags.

Sorry for the poor info.

My 250 is in the 500 serial number range (with the flat top barrel). After about 8000 rounds, during a routine field strip and FCU general cleaning, #11 trigger bar spring breaks off part of the hooked hump that attaches to the FCU side. A quick call to Sig customer service and a new spring is on the way no charge, no hassle.

Received the spring a few days later and go to attach it. It doesn't match. My first thought, they sent the wrong spring. So another quick call to customer service. The spring is different. It's been redesigned to try to correct the light strike issue and some other timing issue problems. The end that broke for me is completely redesigned. It attaches in reverse of the way the old one did on the FCU side. It used to insert on the right. Now it inserts on the left.

So what is the result of the redesign? Didn't put a Lyman to it but my guess is about a pound more pressure on the trigger. My 250 stopped the light strike business after about 500 rounds and none since then so I guess I prefer the old lighter spring, but so it goes.......I'm back in business, just with a slightly heavier trigger to relearn.

Maybe its not heavier just newer, it might just take afew good dry fires to ease it some. I dy fire mine all the time. Working on better trigger control.

Mine is #453. Done the trigger bar spring thing - the new one is completely redesigned, mounts in opposite fashion- when it arrived, I thought they sent the wrong one. Also had the slide release catch spring break in two turning the old girl into a dueling pistol for a day or so. Sig has been super about sending out replacements, but yeah, the thought occurred to me to get some extras, but then again, maybe the redesigns and spring modifications provide real long term fixes. Time, and lots of rounds down range will tell the tale.
