Got the chance to run 100 rounds through my p250 this week. I shot 50 rounds of 185 grain winchester FMJs, 230 magtech FMJs, and 10 magtech solid copper 165 grain HPs. I consistently had a failure to feed on the second round, and second round only, when the mag was loaded with the winchester. Might be the ammo, might be just "breaking in" the pistol. Here are some initial impressions:

RECOIL - WOW!!! The softest shooting 45 I've shot. I think it's a combination of weight, especially in the fullsize model, and the perfect grip.
ACCURACY - Very good. I think this may be up there with the best of them. But, I think most, good quality, modern pistols, such as M&Ps, XDs, etc., as having good accuracy.
ERGOs & CONTROLS - This is really what made me buy this weapon in the first place. It just feels perfect in my hand, and all controls are perfectly placed. Slide release is easy to operate but won't be engaged accidentally. Mag release is also easy to manipulate due to perfect placement and feel - for some reason I really like the triangular shape of it. I can point and shoot more accurately than I thought possible. The trigger will definately take some practice.
RELIABILITY - I'm holding off in this area. I think it will be completely reliable after 500 rounds or so. As stated, all my failures to feed were with one specific ammo and always the second round of the mag. I'll update here once I get to 500 rounds, which may take a while with the cost of shooting these days.
TAKE DOWN & CLEANING - Take down is a breeze and cleaning could not be easier with the removable assembly.

Overall, right now I'm loving this gun.

So, I ran another 100 rounds of 185 WWB. Still had a few rounds get stuck on the feed ramp, but not nearly as many as my first outing. I still think it will be completely reliable after another 300 rounds. Next time I'll try shooting 230 FMJ exclusively. Everything else I said above is still true. Oh, and accuracy at 20' with ten rounds shot in less than 10 seconds. [img][/img]

So, I'm inspecting my P250 before I make another trip to the range this week, and somethings got me thinking? There seems to be a bushing at the base of my guide rod. Anyone know what that's there for? I don't have a lot of experience with Sigs, and this is a first compared to some of my other pistols. It doesn't seem to do anything other than make the base of the guide rod larger, and therefore make the spring compress slightly more when installed. What gives?Confused
