Hi P250 .45 owners!

I've got the 9mm, and a .40, and I'm really curious about how the 250 handles the recoil of the .45. In my experience, it handles the .40 recoil better than any other .40 I've fired, so I'm very hopeful. If anyone has a 220 and could give me a comparison, I'd be very grateful, as well as any .45 owner's thoughts. Thank you!

It's not too bad. I can't compare it to the P250 in 9 or 40 but I can to my 1911. There is a little more felt recoil due to the light polymer grip.

I would think that the .40 would have more flip and be more difficult to follow up. That's just my opinion based on experiences with the 2 .40's and 2 .45's I own.

IMHO, I've found the .45 to handle very well in tactical shoots. I used to carry a Kimber 1911 that I recently sold, but I would say that they shot about the same recoil wise. I also used to own a 220 and I think the 250 shoots and recoils better than that one.

My fullsize P250 recoils softer than any other 45acp I've shot extensively, which includes M&Ps, Para 1911s, Jerichos, and XDs. I think it has a lot to do w/ the size and weight of the slide.
