Finally got a chance to get to the indoor range today. Went through the first 100 rounds with no problems. The gun performed flawlessly. I do need to get used to the trigger action. Groupings were pretty good but tended to be to the left.

The trigger pull is very smooth, but it is a long pull as well. I took mine to the indoor range on Sunday and took along my friend. I told him he has to buy his own because he shot better than me..

Similar experience here. I took my son with me and he managed a more consistent pattern (shot better) than me. So I know the problem was the person pulling the trigger and not the P250. It is a very smooth trigger, and I hope to get some more time shooting the gun soon.

SNAP CAPS!!! Gotta have em. That increased my accuracy with the P250 more than it has on any other pistol.

I will focus on a light switch, doorknob, whatever, while I practice. The idea is that you dont want the gun to move or go off target while pulling the trigger. Another tip, don't try to stage the trigger. One FULL consistent pull each time.

It does not "require" snap caps. It is okay to dry fire the P250 without anything in the chamber to catch the firing pin.
However, I feel the $15 is cheap insurance and peace of mind. And in my case I use the snap caps in different guns so the cost is spread out so to speak.

I picked up some snap caps. They will be very useful for dry firing practice, as well as going through the motions of loading/unloading the gun safely. Especially when working with someone new to handguns (which would be me, as well as my wife). Thanks for the suggestion dosborn81.

I purchased mine at Gander Mountain. They were on sale at the time. I'm sure you can find a better deal on line though. Good Luck!

Thanks, the cheapest I have found them (the AZOOM brand ones) online is about $22 after shipping. I will look at my local stores and see if I can find them cheaper.

Another good thing about snap caps is you can load them in the mags with real ammo and practice gun malfuntions and how to get the gun back into action. That is some reallygood practice. It could be something that would happen in real life and knowing how to fix that problem quickly could be life or death.
