I have a P250 Compact (9mm) which is ALMOST a perfect fit for my hand. The grip is marked C L, which indicates large size grip for the compact frame. I have long fingers, and I would like to have just a little more distance between the backstrap and the trigger -- maybe 1/4" or 3/8".
Does anyone know of a good slip-on overgrip that will do the job?

Most decent overgrips approach the price of a replacement grip module ($45 direct from Sig). If it were me, I'd just order a large grip module...If it doesn't work, I'd bet you could sell it here to someone else.
My 2 Cents...

I had already looked at that. The large grip offers a longer overall length and a larger magazine, but the backstrap-to-trigger distance remains the same as on the compact. That does not solve my problem. SIG offers a short trigger, which decreases this distance. I need just the opposite.
I had heard that the Hogue model 17000 would work, but every source that I have looked at lists many SIG pistols for the Hogue 17000, but none mention the P250.

Well Packmayr and Houge offer slip on grips that are "universal", Ive ordered some from both and actually had to put them one a few guns upside down to get a good fit. Hell at $9 for the grips theres not too much to lose. Id take a chance and just try. Order a pair the fits a Glock 19 or something simillar to your gun. Who knows it might fit perfectly.
