One of my favorite Christmas presents I have received is the range trip I took with my stepdad on the 23rd. It was the first range trip I've ever taken and I had a lot of fun. I was able to shoot my stepdad's .45 S&W and .22 Savage Arms 64, my Ruger LCP, and my (affectionately dubbed) baby, the Sig P250C. I've never shot a .45 caliber firearm before (indeed, I had never shot anything besides .22 and 9mm Luger), and I was impressed at how easy it was to handle. I have to admit that I was a bit nervous at first. The LCP had a LOT of noise for such a small gun. In fact, it was louder than the others were and with just as much (if not more) kick. I have to say that I love my P250, because at about 10 yards (my stepdad wouldn't move the target any farther down, don't know why) I didn't have much problem hitting around the center even with rapid fire. I would have liked to shoot a target at around 25 yds just to see what I would hit, but it just didn't work out. I only had one failure to eject, and I think maybe it was caused by "limp-wristing" the pistol when it was fired. If that was not the case, then it may have been a pistol malfunction. However, around 150 rounds of both Winchester target ammo and hollow points were fired through it with only the one malfunction and both my stepdad (Vietnam Army vet) and brother (currently a U.S. Marine) liked it. My opinion isn't worth much, but I did want to add a positive opinion for everyone to read. Merry Christmas!
