If you look at the parts diagram for the P250 in the manual, it only shows a slide release spring installed. On my new Sig, there is a washer on top of the spring. I will post a picture later tonight. I wasn't sure if anyone knew about this. I thought I saw an earlier post about this, but decided to start a new thread since I couldn't find it. If this topic is old information, please accept my apologies. I'm wondering when they started putting the washer on top of the spring. My P250c(9mm) serial # is EAU0151XX. The store where I purchased my Sig had a P250 .45ACP in stock and it also had a washer.

I don't recall one on my .45 P250. I will look tonight and see for sure. I do know the quide rod is plastic and cheap looking.

Update/Brain Working Now: I was thinking of the recoil spring. I think there is a washer on mine.

I wonder if this was a remedy for the problem some had with the slide releasing when you slapped in a mag. Probably not, it was just a thought. I also agree with you on the guide rod. I will be ordering one of the stainless ones soon.

I never thought about that. I had to send my P250 back for that very reason. I didn't think to look if ther was a washer before or after I sent it back.

Now I am curious.

I also have that slide release spring washer on my 9-mm P250. It is not shown on the parts diagram in the owners manual.

So are ya'll saying that if there is no spring washer then the slide will release when inserting the mag? Mine is about 2 months old and i have had the slide release two times since i started using it.

I do not know if the omission of that spring washer will cause the slide to release. Just be very carefull to have your fingers away from the slide release lever during handling/use. Just a little push on that lever up or down will release the slide or cause it to lock open during use
