I know that the 15/16 rd mags are not authorized and are actually a felony in CA, but can you bring a P250 into the state and use it if sig releases a 10 rd mag for it?

Thanks, it pisses me off that I can't use my reg magazines. Not that it will help, but I emailed the governor regarding that law.

I would just not tell anyone and only load 10rds. We are called the left coast for a reason. Its too bad, but short of a Supreme Court decision telling the states to abide by the US constitution, its not going to change.

Thanks: 1 times
Hey California guys...
I thought the 250 wasn't 'CA-compliant.' Did Sig get the OK on it and just never updated it's website? I know it's still not Mass-compliant and likely never will be.
For high cap mags out there, is there still a distinction between pre-ban and post-ban like there is out here in Mass. I know that it's not an issue for the 250, but for Glock and AR15 magazines, some of the old pre-ban ones can sell for as much as $75. In CT, where we still live under a modified AWB (no collapsible stock, bayo lug, etc), we have no magazine capacity limits and can buy 2 or 3 brand new mags for that price. In Mass, loading 10 in a 15/16 capacity mag is just as bad (felony) as filling it up...it must not hold any more than 10 rounds is the Court's ruling...can't put slugs, dowels, bigger springs, etc.

It isn't CA compliant. You can't purchase it in CA but from what I understand, if you purchase the P250 out of state and have 10rd mags for it, then you can use it in CA. The preban mags are allowed in CA if you can prove that you lived in CA and owned the mags prior to the ban taking effect.

Kray9,

You are correct on the law. I'm an LEO, that's how I got mine.
