Bought my P250 a while ago. Every time I use reloaded ammo and when a round exploads in the gun, my damn extractor flies off Cursing .... Im so bummed by this gun because it happened to me twice already in a month. My friends who use the same reloaded ammo on their S&W MP .40, Glock 17, 27, 19, Taurus 24-7, CZ Sp01 etc, don't seem to have my problem, one of my friend who owns a mono chrome P250 doesn't have the same problem as I do.. My question is was it just bad luck in my part that I seem to have purchased a P250 factory defect? I'm really pissed cause at first the gun was fine with the first 300 rds with FMJ's, but when I used reloads the gun sucks bigtime. Ive been pouring over the internet and their have been major problems with the units.

Reverted to my 2004 Steyr M9... man all I ever wanted was to own a Sig Sauer eversince....

Insights appreciated....

Moved topic to .40 issues. You had the thread in the Forum issues. I am assuming its a .40 cal since you said that others use the same ammo on their .40. I would send it back to Sig. I know you will have wait for a while since you live in the Philippines, but nothing is suppose to fly off of the gun.

It seems a good majority of people who have had issues with their p250's usually all have one thing in common, reloaded ammo.

your problem could poss be caused by bulged cases try getting a roll sizer. If you want shoot me an email at matt@hurricaneammo.com I might be able to roll size some for you the next time I run 40. I am also commercial reloader and sell remanufactured ammo

To a fellow Pinoy-just dont use reloads. My compact and fullsized 40's are pickier than my M&P's. If you are in the RP are parts readily available? I agree that parts arent supposed to be flying off amy handgun. Send it back and then after that dont use reloads. I did hear that early 9mm had a few bad extractors but FTE's are different than flying E's. I dont know how readily available good ammo is back home-thats probably why you reload-just dont use them if you dont have to. Whats the round count? Is it new? After a short break in mine have been great just didnt like remington umc's double crown. I have never had an issue with good JHP's. I carry my compact 40 almost everyday, and train with the fullsized and my M&P's a couple times a month. I would rate my 250's every bit as good as an M&P just a little different.

Evreyone including Sig seems to say the same thing about using reloads. This kept me from using relaods for a while in my 250c. How I love the gun and just prefer to shot it most of the time so I started using reloads and have yet to have an issue unless we make the round to light. We make them to light on purpose and then beef it up from there, this helps save on material. I know it makes me sound cheap (and I'm) but it is also fun to tinker with the rounds Cool

Mostly I have been shooting 9mm's and .45's, gonna start .40's next week so I let you know how they work.

That is why I will not shoot reloads. That is of course unless I am the one who loaded them. There is no way to know the quality and consistency unless you do it yourself.

Do you reload them yourself! Or do you buy them this way! I shoot only reloads and have not had a problem. I roll my own also. Also bulges cases, or like I like to refer to them as, Glocked cases will cause problems. But parts flying off a gun I would think would not be one of them. Maybe these are loaded hot. Did you notice more recoil. I will only shoot my own reloads. I know what to expect with them. I bought reloads once from gun show and I shot them and I could see the bullets come out of the gun. They barely made it 50 feet. It was a weird thing to watch! But from now on I shoot my reloads, nobody elses!

Agreed!
I have shot nearly 1000 rounds through my p250's 90% were reloads, No issue here.
Have fun.

I shoot mostly reloads in my 40 and the 45. I have a friend that loads them.

Never a problem with either new or reloads.
