Purchased a 40 this spring and finally got to fire it. It worked great. Went to change barells with my sons 9mm and found out that you had to change the complete slide assy to make it work?? His older gun works fine with either slide assy but when I put his 9mm slide assy on my newer gun that came with the 40, the slide lock won't hold the slide back after the last round or any other time like it did with the original 40 slide assy on it. Don't think I did anything wrong. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks, any help would be apreciated.

It might work if you had the 357 barrel. The kit from Sig includes barrel, slide and mag. For the 9mm you would need all three except the frame. For the .45 you would have to get a frame plus the kit. As for the mags, the .40 and .357 are the same.

Got it back today. Was excellent service. They replaced the Mag spring and changed from a 16 to 15 round magazine and test fired. Tryed it and it seems to work perfect.
