I've been really enjoying my P250 so far. I'm around the 250 round mark, mostly 200gr reloads and 230gr remington white&green box.

Before I put even the 1st round through the pistol, I cleaned it and ran the trigger close to 10K times w/a snap-cap in the chamber. So far so good...I've got a clean firing weapon, I love the handfeel. I have absolutely no complaints. I want to get about 500 more 230s thru this before qualifying it as a carry pistol but so far I have nothing bad to say.

Thanks: 1 times
From Sig's website...

"It is safe to dry-fire our center fire pistols. You would want to use a snap cap or plug if extensive dry-firing is done. Always count your dry-firing in your live fire count to be sure all springs and pins are in top condition. DO NOT intentionally dry-fire any rim fire pistol such as the Mosquito, .22LR conversions or Classic Pistols."

I always dry fire with snap caps and have heard some instructors mix them into the magazine to practice FTF exercises during training. I've never heard of continuously racking the slide to loosen it up.

Thats what a few dealers told me they said sometimes thier small imperfections in the slide if u rack the slide on your new gun a few hundred times it will help smooth it out. I did it on my cz75, and my glock 22, my sig 556, and it always helped out.
