Finally ordered a 357 Sig barrel for my P250 Compact. These barrels are becoming hard to find at the moment, for all sizes.

I had to pay $179 for the compact barrel, and I found it at a small authorized Sig dealer -he just happened to have one in stock. Juat a month ago, I had found a couple on Ebay, Brownells, and another place. Then all the sudden there were NONE available. I wonder if Sig Sauer is cutting back on making just barrels so people will have to buy a conversion kit instead??? Are 357 Sig not all that popular?

Seems like almost everyone is into the 9mm. I do have a Glock 19, but would like a Glock 31. Anyway, like at the gun range, there are lots of pistols a person can rent, but most are in 9mm, a few 40 cal, and one or two 45 cal. But not a single 357 Sig or Mag.

Looking forward to firing my P250C in 357 Sig when the barrel arrives in a few days. What's the best ammo to buy?

Sig P250C .40/357 Sig
S&W Shield 9mm
Glock 19 Gen 3
Bulgarian Makarov 9x18
Taurus R46112 .357 Magnum
Taurus 85 .38 Special
Rossi Ranch Hand .44 Magnum
Assorted Shotguns

Congrats on the new barrel! Sorry, I wasn't able to help with any coupon codes.
I mentioned elsewhere, my barrel is in limbo at a LGS due to NY state laws.
However, I was able to shoot it a couple times before I found out it had to be registered.

I liked shooting it. If possible, it is more accurate than the .40cal, seems to shoot flatter.
As far as recoil, I did not notice any significant difference or discomfort. If anything it seems easier to shoot than the .40cal.
I shot only a couple different types through it including the Winchester 125 gr and Sellier and Bellot 140gr. which both fed and shot fine. I honestly think the Winchester 125gr felt more comfortable to shoot.

Good luck!

If you have any semi-auto pistol chambered in .40 S&W, IMO, it is a given that you need a .357 SIG barrel to go with that pistol. .357 SIG is not the easiest ammunition to find and never inexpensive, but makes an excellent defensive round. Speer 125 gr Gold Dot is my everyday carry ammunition.
