Judging by the forum traffic, many folks seem to have forgotten about the "old" P250 and its variants. Given all the new striker fired wonders on the market, it's not surprising that the interest in this pistol has waned. That said, I see that there is a resurgence in the pricing on Gunbroker and similar sites. A Renaissance if you will -- with new shooters discovering that the simplicity, versatility, and safety of this platform is not easily matched by any other gun manufacturer, and even though no longer in production, the pistol may be increasing again in popularity.

Maybe SIG will catch on to that fact, and pair it as a complement to the P320. Some folks simply prefer hammers over stikers.

I still carry the P250 however, less so during the summer months.

I carry my P250 compact 45 acp all day, every day...even at home, plus a extra magazine (Alien Gear Mag Carrier) Heck I own two P250 compacts and three P250 sub compacts, all 45 acp. But I do have a P320 compact 45 acp on the way to my local FFL.

I have a P250C 9mm and 40SW as my EDCs, and when somewhat clothing constrained, I carry the P250SC 9mm. I used to carry a SP2022 for many years, but after I found the P250 I was an instant convert. Like many P250 fan club member, I was trained on, and carried revolvers for most of my life. Hence when I pulled that marvelous P250 FCU trigger, it was a no-brainer.

Love the 250 myself. It is one of the few in the carry rotation that also serves nightstand duty. Some company (perhaps SIG) should pick up on the resurgence of the P250. If not SIG, perhaps they will license the design to a aftermarket company that sees the potential that was not fully appreciated during the days that the 250 was being manufactured?

Don't get me wrong - there are many things that I like about the P320 and other striker fired pistols, but there are also many things I like about the P250.

As they say the right tool for the right job...

I started to collect a set of P320s but the set of p250s that i have still has a special place for me . I still carry the P250 45 sub with a modified compact grip to fit the sub slide. The P250 just gives me more confidence when I carry. I was a revolver guy so the P250 is natural for me to shoot.
I have long given up trying to be the fastest shooter.Instead I pride myself in being a deliberate shooter.

There still seems to be some interest in the P250 on other sites as well. Within the past couple of weeks on sigtalk.com a compact size 9mm slide was sold as well as a FDE frame (bummed I didn't see that earlier) as well as a Subcompact 9mm pistol to two separate buyers.

Personally, I still enjoy shooting the P250 and finally had some range time last night. I focused mostly on shooting the SC and Compact sized .357 SIG. I mostly like to carry them a .40cal barrel but I picked up some 10-round SC mags with a pinky extension on CDNN and they have made a big difference when shooting the .357 SIG.

BTW, it is addictive as hell shooting .357SIG! That cartridge is a beast.

I guess that since the P250 was phased out two years ago, the interest has shifted to the P320 platform. Add in the fact that there are not that many enthusiasts out there anymore who actually prefer to shoot DAO pistols, and you can see the interest in this platform fall through the floor.

Too bad really, but we saw the same thing happen in the history of revolver development (single action to double), and now again in semi-pistols (hammer fired to striker). Many "old timers" and niche shooters still cherish the P250, but there are just so many of us left.

And then add in spare parts. I run mine sparingly.
